Zack Sears is a designer and maker from the great state of Maine. Currently based in Brooklyn he is the Creative Director for Throne Watches. Most recently he served as the Design Director for Kickstarter.
Zack got his start at Brightcove where he joined as a member of their brand and marketing team. He helped lead visual and interaction design for their corporate website. He also played an integral role in helping build the brand and marketing design disciplines for the organization as they scaled from 100 people to 350+ and an eventual IPO.
After Brightcove, he joined Kickstarter as their second designer—and worked there for over six years. He helped define experiences across their web and native platforms. After years as a contributor he was promoted to run the design department where he helped build and lead a talented multi-disciplinary team.
He's available for select contract work both as an independent contributor or as a team lead. Contact is available below.
